Zimbabwe Embassy in Germany had the pleasure of celebrating the Zimbabwe 45th Independence Day with the diasporas in Hannover, Germany. The Embassy sponsors the Independence Soccer and Netball Cups which has so far concurrently run for two years. Teams from Zimbabwe , Tanzania, Nambia, Liberia, Eritrea, DRC and Lesotho clashed for the Cup and Liberia emerged as the winners of the match. Worth noting is that Liberia was the defending champions of the Independence Cup as they had won it in the previous year.
Her Excellency Ambassador Mashingaidze had the pleasure of the company of the Ambassador of Kingdom of Lesotho, Her Excellency Ambassador Malala on occasion.
This occasion was truly a witness of the “Ubuntu” spirit among Africans in the diaspora as people from different African countries came together to celebrate with Zimbabwe on this significant day.
